What’s changed.

A running record of the new, improved, and fixed parts of Slackalendar.

Updated through November 4, 2026

History is grouped by development periods and does not guarantee when a change was deployed. Integrations depend on your workspace configuration.

November 4, 2026

Comment images, clearer editing, default files and optional progress tracking.

  • New

Paste or upload images in task comments, review thumbnails before sending, and send images with or without text. Comment images also appear in the task's Files tab.

  • Fixed

Image previews stay loaded when comments refresh in the background, instead of flashing or restarting.

  • Improved

If a comment image upload fails, keep the saved comment and confirmed images, then retry only the remaining uploads.

  • Fixed

Pasted description snippets retain supported formatting, including emphasis, lists, alignment and line breaks.

  • Improved

Team administrators can upload multiple default files at once with the same trigger tags, track progress and retry remaining files after a partial failure.

  • Fixed

Removed distracting whole-section focus outlines while preserving visible keyboard focus for interactive controls.

  • New

Optional owner-configured Task Progress supports manual percentages or weighted custom fields, check-in history, notes, blockers and configurable reminders. Availability and reminder delivery depend on the team's enabled setup.

  • New

Install Slackalendar through the signed-in Help menu where the browser supports it, with manual desktop and mobile instructions when needed.

  • Improved

Attachment printing restores focus to the visible preview after the print dialog closes.

  • New

Public changelog and refreshed Help documentation bring product updates and current instructions together.

November 3, 2026

A read-only QuickBooks Desktop preview and clearer form feedback.

  • New

Added an optional QuickBooks Desktop connector and order-preview setup for supported Windows environments. This is a read-only preview, not automatic task creation or permission to modify QuickBooks.

  • Improved

QuickBooks guidance explains Web Connector setup, order-field matching, connection checks and how to review results before planning an automation.

  • Improved

Public forms announce confirmations more clearly to assistive technology.

November 2, 2026

Optional print workflows connecting Claude, Slack and task records.

  • New

Approved print-enabled teams can maintain a printer roster and use Claude to prepare task load sheets with quantities, filament totals, runs and colors.

  • New

Assign one or multiple printers to each object or run in Slack or directly in Slackalendar, with shared saved assignments and color-loading confirmation.

  • Improved

Print workflows retain load-sheet versions, expose assignment information to the connector and keep print permission separate from task-status permission.

  • New

Load sheets and connector thread replies also appear as readable Claude comments on the task after a successful Slack post. Updated sheets preserve earlier comments.

  • Improved

Connector status changes are identified as Claude in task history, while human changes retain their authors. Connector activity reads include that source.

  • Improved

Assistant task reads include named colors, what each color represents and the full text of saved description snippets.

  • Fixed

Print tools describe their required inputs clearly for compatible MCP clients. Printer selection and private-channel discovery received reliability improvements.

October 30–November 1, 2026

File previews, mobile refinements and more useful printed worksheets.

  • New

Preview supported images, PDFs and plain-text task attachments in the app, with zoom, printing and original downloads. Other formats remain download-only.

  • New

Drag local files into a saved task's Files section to upload them without opening the file picker.

  • New

A floating New Task action appears when the main action scrolls out of view, without showing duplicate creation buttons.

  • Improved

Mobile team headers use a compact plus action beside the title. Task filters, dashboard cards, tables, timelines and calendar entries use more space-efficient layouts.

  • Improved

Worksheet quantity values print prominently, with the number larger than its unit of measure.

  • Fixed

Deleting a task returns to the last team context and shows a dismissible success confirmation rather than an unavailable-task screen.

  • Improved

Task-creation automations can select or create destination tags, link the related tasks and optionally carry attachments and description snippets. Eligible same-team destinations are supported.

  • Improved

Settings presentation and section icons are more consistent across mobile and desktop.

October 29, 2026

Four assistant connectors, task-file retrieval and simpler Settings.

  • New

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity through MCP, with provider-specific guides linked directly from Settings.

  • Improved

AI connection settings use one compact connection panel, explicit team and permission choices, and a separate area for custom API integrations.

  • Fixed

Assistant approval flows return more reliably to the requesting provider, with a manual Continue option when automatic navigation does not finish.

  • New

Assistants can discover task and comment attachments. Original-file retrieval uses temporary download links by default to avoid sending large file contents through chat.

  • New

Configure tag-triggered default files for a team, reusing stored files when tasks receive matching tags.

  • New

Settings sections collapse independently and remember each user's choices.

  • Improved

Past Due columns have warmer emphasis and a clearer shadow. Team owners can choose the column's position without changing saved workflow stages.

  • Improved

Worksheet printing defaults to US Letter, with mobile printer-selection guidance and browser fallback instructions.

October 26–28, 2026

Project focus views, configurable team workflows and persistent navigation.

  • New

Open a Project Dashboard task in a large focus modal and print its shared details, including in Present Mode. Read-more controls make longer content easier to find.

  • Improved

Dashboard-only viewers stay within their assigned dashboards. Dashboard editing roles do not grant access to source-team task editing.

  • New

Reorder Project Dashboard statuses; Workflow shows the ordered columns side by side.

Team owners can choose which task elements appear in Slack notifications and configure individual personal notification categories separately.

  • New

  • New

Create task-creation automation rules with conditions, destination choices and previews. Sync existing tasks explicitly through the saved rule's preview-and-confirm tool.

  • Improved

Recent automation runs start collapsed. Assignment defaults and task overrides make handoffs easier to manage.

  • New

Choose worksheet sections in the team's Worksheet printing menu, preview settings, and optionally include task images. Assigned-page layouts are available separately.

  • New

Review completed tasks and select exactly which ones to archive. Dismiss automatic archive prompts for one day, three days or one week.

  • New

Move a task between teams when you belong to both, choosing its destination status, assignee and due date. Original team-specific details are preserved in the description.

  • Improved

Team Kanban columns order tasks by due date, with the nearest deadlines first.

  • New

Resize the left navigation without losing its collapse toggle. Remember sidebar width, expanded Teams navigation and the team-members panel's open or closed state.

  • Fixed

Navigation and background refreshes preserve loaded task content and drafts instead of unnecessarily rebuilding the workspace.

  • New

MCP connections begin with explicit, team-scoped read access; optional task-status updates require additional approval.

October 23–25, 2026

Linked sign-in, account management and richer task details.

Use Google, GitHub, Slack or email/password for the same account when the required verified-email ownership checks succeed. Add password sign-in through a verified setup or reset.

  • New

Manage connected sign-in accounts, password setup and changes, email verification, full name, optional phone number and location in Settings.

  • Improved

Signed-in visits to the homepage lead to Dashboard, while explicit task and team links retain their intended destinations.

  • Improved

Phone and location remain private contact details. Sign-in connections and installed Slack workspaces are managed separately.

  • New

Team-owned custom fields support tag-based visibility and required values, with color selections that explain what each color represents.

  • Improved

Edit descriptions and applied snippets separately. Saved snippet content can be collapsed without removing it from task records or worksheets.

  • New

Resize multiline editors using mouse, keyboard or touch.

  • Fixed

Reduced unnecessary blank space and overflow in task dialogs. Worksheet previews provide clearer recovery when preparation or pop-up opening fails.

  • Improved

My Tasks presents assigned and created work across stages rather than starting with a To Do-only restriction.

  • Improved

New-task assignment choices follow the selected team, and Slack object links open the intended task or team after sign-in.

  • New

Configure team status communications, assignment defaults and supported automation shortcodes. Task-specific assignment overrides can change a handoff.

  • Improved

Past Due highlights unfinished deadlines without replacing custom workflow stages. Leaving a synthetic overdue lane provides an explicit reschedule step.

  • Improved

Calendar supports Month, Week and Day review, expandable daily task lists, consistent status colors and deadline warnings.
