FIELD GUIDE 21 / 21
Use promotion codes and manage company discounts
Redeem an eligible company code, understand when its benefit starts, and review discounts and invoice history.
Product guide 4 sections
Redeem a code for your company
- 01When creating a company, enter the optional promotion code where offered and check the terms before confirming. An invalid or ineligible code must be corrected or removed before setup can finish.
- 02For an existing company, a company owner or billing administrator opens Billing → Promotion code and enters a code eligible for existing companies.
- 03Review the applied or reserved discount in Billing. A code for new companies only cannot be redeemed later on an existing company.
Keep in mind
Promotion controls depend on feature availability. One company discount applies at a time. Company owners cannot silently replace an existing benefit; ask a platform administrator to review any replacement.

Understand deadlines, duration and limits
- Discounts can be a percentage or a fixed USD amount, for one invoice, a defined number of months, or ongoing.
- The discount period starts when the company first becomes paid. Time on the first-five-users-free allowance, card setup and pending invitations do not start that period.
- Redeem by is the deadline to claim the campaign, not the end of an already reserved discount. Campaign expiry or disablement does not cancel a previously reserved benefit.
- Redemption limits include free companies that reserved a code. Removing a discount does not refund a use, and the company cannot reuse a previously redeemed code.
Create and assign promotions as a platform administrator
- 01Open Administration and its Platform billing area → Promotion codes. Company or team admin status alone does not grant platform promotion access.
- 02Enter a code or leave it blank to generate one. Choose the discount type and amount, duration, redemption deadline, limit and eligibility, then create the promotion.
- 03Use the campaign ledger to review terms and usage, copy a code or disable new redemptions. Commercial terms cannot be edited after creation; make a new campaign instead.
- 04Under Company assignment, choose a company and an eligible promotion. Review and confirm applying, replacing or removing a benefit.
Keep in mind
Changes to an already paid company's discount affect future invoices only, without an immediate charge or refund. Platform administrators still follow campaign eligibility. Disabling a campaign blocks new uses, not discounts already earned.

Check attribution, savings and zero-dollar invoices
- 01In Company subscriptions, review the company discount, its code and status, benefit dates where available, base amount, savings and discounted total.
- 02Use the campaign ledger and company redemption history to distinguish companies that ever used a code from companies currently assigned to it. Replacement or removal does not erase the historical redemption.
- 03Distinguish a one-invoice discount from a recurring monthly estimate. A hypothetical quote is not a promise to reuse an already consumed one-time benefit.
- 04Review finalized invoice history even when the total is $0. A fully discounted paid subscription can still have an invoice and required billing notice; a free account or card setup alone does not create a paid invoice.
Keep in mind
A 100% discount does not waive access checks or necessarily remove tax or payment-method requirements. Missing email does not prove there is no invoice: check authenticated history, current delivery status and spam before retrying. Never repeat a payment just because email is missing.
