Manage company ownership and requests
Use the company console for roles, exports, installation administration, and requests that need review.
Company ownership is separate from Slack installation
The Slack workspace installer is not automatically the Slackalendar company owner. Complete the explicit owner setup on /slack/onboarding after the successful Slack authorization. Signing in with Slack or linking a Slack identity also does not grant company membership.
Review and delegate company roles
Select the company, then open Company to review members, installation status, requests and background jobs. An owner can delegate admin, billing_admin or member roles to an existing company member. The owner role is not transferred through delegation. Owners and admins may retry eligible dead jobs from the job list; the console shows job status, attempts and any reported error.
Export, deletion, and cancellation
- 01Select the intended organization and open Company. Only its owner or delegated admin can download the company export.
- 02Use the export control to download JSON and store it securely; it can contain company work and member details. It is not a promise to export the binary contents of Slack-hosted files.
- 03An owner can submit a company deletion request. An owner, admin or billing admin can submit a billing cancellation request from the company request controls. Confirm the exact company name when asked.
- 04Record the reference and pending-review status. These requests do not themselves delete data or cancel a subscription. Actual supported subscription cancellation uses Billing → Cancel at period end.
Retention periods, request completion timelines, billing terms, and the operator's support workflow have not been finalized. This help article does not establish a policy or guarantee a completion date.
Support and job retries
Use /support to submit a persisted support request pending review. A response is not guaranteed and no response time is promised while the operator support workflow remains unapproved. For background jobs, check /company for status and errors; owners and admins can retry jobs marked dead when the retry control is available. A retry is an attempt, not a guarantee of completion.
