FIELD GUIDE 10 / 15
Manage notifications
Choose in-app alerts, Slack DMs, optional activity email and per-browser desktop notifications separately.
Product guide 5 sections
In-app notifications
Open Notifications from the main navigation to review notifications in Slackalendar. From Settings, choose which events you want to receive:
- A task is assigned to you.
- A task you are involved with is updated.
- A task you created is completed.
- A due-date reminder is ready.
- You are added to or removed from a team.
Slack direct messages
In Settings, turn on Slack notifications under Slack Integration. This control is available when your Slack user is linked. These DMs are separate from the team's scheduled channel digest.
Watch: Link Your Slack Account and Choose NotificationsIf a notification is missing
- Check the matching preference in Settings.
- For Slack DMs, confirm the workspace is installed and your Slack user is linked.
- For channel digests, ask a team owner to confirm the channel link, schedule, selected sections, and last-run status.
- Confirm current company/team access. An old alert or link does not restore revoked access. Delivery can be delayed or fail; use the task itself as the current record.
- For scheduled reminders or emails, a saved preference alone does not prove the delivery worker is running. General background delivery remains subject to activation checks.
Optional activity and setup emails
- 01Open Settings → Email notifications. Optional task assignments, updates, completions, reminders, mentions, team activity and daily digests start off; enable only the categories you want.
- 02Email is independent of Slack. Daily email digests follow the team's configured digest time and timezone, including web-only teams, when delivery is enabled.
- 03Use the setup-email controls in Settings or the unsubscribe link in a setup email to stop optional onboarding reminders. You can continue reading Getting started without receiving them.
- 04For missing email, check spam, the account's address, the exact preference and current access. Delivery is rechecked against current membership, not just the original event.
Keep in mind
Invoices, receipts, payment failures, billing approvals, security codes, password resets, invitations and membership confirmations are required transactional notices and cannot be disabled with activity preferences. No email-arrival guarantee is made; the published email worker and some notice types still require external verification.

Desktop browser notifications
- 01Use the full HTTPS website in a supported browser, sign in, and open Settings → Desktop notifications. Check its availability and permission status before enabling.
- 02Choose Enable desktop notifications, then approve the browser prompt. Existing OS permission is not consent to attach this browser to a different account; enable separately for each account/browser.
- 03Use Send a test only when you want an actual notification. Check OS notifications and Do Not Disturb if it does not appear. If permission is Blocked, change it in the browser's site settings before retrying.
- 04Use Disable on this browser to disconnect it. Sign-out also disconnects this browser; subscriptions expire after 30 days, so enable again when needed.
- 05On iPhone/iPad, add the site to your Home Screen from Safari's Share menu, open that Home Screen app, and enable there. Embedded previews may not support push.
Keep in mind
Push carries generic new activity alerts for supported assignment, update, completion, due-reminder and team events, not old alerts, mentions, billing/security notices or digests. Event preferences still apply. Notification clicks require sign-in and current access. Published worker startup has been observed, but real-device delivery and tab-closed behavior are not yet verified live. A lost browser cannot yet be remotely disconnected from a device list; use browser/OS controls when available and ask Support for guidance without sharing credentials.
