Captions are burned into the video and are not selectable. For a text version, continue with the written guide below.
Open video directly- 01Choose Get Started or Sign In on the public site, then choose Sign up on the sign-in screen.
- 02Enter your email address and a password of at least 8 characters. First and last name are optional.
- 03Choose Create account. Slackalendar signs you in after the account is created.
Use Google, GitHub, or Slack
The sign-in screen offers Google, GitHub, and Slack when configured. Choose the method already associated with your account and complete its authorization steps. Another provider with the same email is not proof of ownership of your existing account; do not create a second account to recover access. General self-service linking of another sign-in provider is not offered.
Signing in with Slack and installing Slackalendar into a Slack workspace are separate actions. Linking a Slack identity is also separate: Slackalendar uses explicit verified identity linking at /api/slack/account-link. It does not automatically match accounts by email. Workspace installation does not automatically link a personal Slack identity.
Sign in or reset your password
- 01Choose Sign In, then use the email and password for your account or choose the provider you originally used.
- 02If you forgot an email-password login, choose Forgot password? and submit your account email.
- 03Open the reset link from your email and set a new password with at least 8 characters. Reset links expire after 1 hour.
Accept a team invitation
- 01Open the invitation email and use the invited address. If you already have an account, sign in using its existing sign-in method rather than creating another identity.
- 02Complete the sign-in and any email two-factor check. If you return to Dashboard without the team, reopen the original invitation in the same signed-in browser and review it.
- 03Check the selected company and Teams after acceptance. A pending billing approval can leave an invitation pending; accepting never authorizes a charge.
- 04Invitations expire after 7 days. For an expired, declined or wrong-address invitation, ask a team owner for a fresh invitation. Do not forward the invitation as a way to give someone else access.
Password-reset links work once and expire after one hour. A reset does not turn off email two-factor authentication. If a reset email is missing, check spam and the original sign-in method; the reset response does not confirm whether an account exists. Never send a reset link or verification code to support.
